General Information
Admission/Registration Guidelines
For conference material pick-up, registration will be open in the KI Convention Center on:
Sunday, March 4 - 12 noon until 6:00pm
Monday, March 5 - 6:30am - 4:00pm
Tuesday, March 6 - 6:30am - 10:00am and again from 5:00pm - 7:00pm.
Your name badge must be worn for admission to all conference sessions and social events. If you misplace or require a new name badge you may get a replacement, with proper identification, at the registration area for no charge.
Conference Location
Green Bay and the KI Convention Center is our destination and location for the 2012 Governor's Conference on Tourism scheduled for March 4-6. The Opening Reception is being held in the Radisson Hotel and Conference Center and all conference programming is being held in the KI Convention Center or Hyatt on Main.
Dress Code
For the opening reception on Sunday, casual attire is appropriate. Business casual is suggested for all daytime meeting sessions. For the Governor's Reception and Banquet, business or semi-formal attire is recommended.
The Governor's Dinner and Awards Celebration
Presented by the Governor and sponsored by the Governor's Council on Tourism, the Governor's Tourism Award recognizes and honors people and organizations that have made a significant impact on Wisconsin's travel and tourism industry. These awards are designed to acknowledge those individuals and businesses that have shown dedication, creativity and excellence. The five award categories include: Legacy, Rising Star, Service Excellence, Stewardship and Culture, Arts & Heritage. Presentation of the awards will be made during the Governor's Dinner and Celebration at the Governor's Conference on Tourism on Tuesday evening.
Information Marketplace/Taste of Wisconsin
Scheduled this year from 3:30pm to 6:00pm, we look forward to having you visit more than 80 vendors in the KI Convention Center. In addition you will find the Tourism Resource Corner, your location for valuable tourism and travel information from around the state.
Opening Reception
"Picture the Fun" at our opening celebration on Sunday evening. Hosted at the Radisson Hotel & Conference Center, join us for some fabulous food, great friends and a fabulously good time!
Parking
Parking can be found at all selected conference hotels for overnight guests. Ample parking for day guests or those wishing to drive in is available at the Hyatt on Main or in the city parking ramp across from the KI Convention Center.
Programming
In the event your selected programming appears full, simply change the order of your selection - most sessions are offered twice.
Shuttle Information
Complimentary shuttle buses will run periodically between the conference hotels and the KI Convention Center. Please check posted schedules at the registration desk and in the lobby of your hotel, for any on-site changes.
Smoking Policy
As a courtesy to fellow conference participants, smoking is not permitted in the Convention Center. Please look for the designated smoking areas before lighting up.
Tourism Resource Corner
In an effort to streamline our resources, we are offering the Tourism Resource Corner (formerly the Tourism Resource Center) as part of the Information Marketplace in an effort to drive more traffic and cut down on space usage.
